Top 10

I love David Letterman. This is inspired by his show.

TOP 10 REASONS WHY YOUR TOUCH TEAM WON'T WIN THE NTL

10- Referees refuse to work OT whenever the game goes into drop-off stage.

9- Rookie Speedy leggy keeps diving to score on the halfway line.

8- A fight breaks out between inferior players everytime you call for the new move " C cup".

7- You forgot to bring your rubber dinghy & paddle.
(How many times your capt has to remind you, when it rains in Turfcity, we play canoe polo?)

6- Your new playing gear has a 2m long cape attached. For intimidation factor.

5- Your centers insist on wearing a bib with the letter "C" printed in the middle & wants to play in short pleated skirts.

4- Your new coach is Tiger Woods.

3- Your team is still finding your way out of Turfcity after NTL finals 2006.

2- Your team is sponsored by kenneth Cole shoes.

1- Your referee is M. B.!

Have a romantic, smashing Christmas everyone!:D

Back from Korat

Hey Ladies,

Yes... we are back. Not with a Gold we had hope. Very disappointed about it... I know you girls will say Silver is ok... well it is NOT ok... but what to do...had to accept the fact.

Lost to Thailand...19-5. They were the better team that day with their performance. We put up a good fight but not good enough. We could have done better.

This tournament is really an experience for us. Looking at how other sports prepare for their tournament, how they take on the pressure and remain focus. A real learning experience.

We look forward to a good rest (though lost without the trainings) and to see you girls at the Awards Night!

From Korat!

Hey Ladies!

I finally find a chance to send this post.

We had arrived at the Athletes Village on Tuesday. It is a long ride.

The excitment started early in the morning at the airport where we were greated by Wantoks supporters!

Jo and Mui made it down early in the morning and then they had to rush off for their long journy back to work. It was so cool to have the MOST number of supporters. Hahaha. Thanks dear!

In the plane, we were given High Carbo meals and we were envious of the rest of the passengers as they have the choice of chicken rice or Nasi Lemak!!!!

Once in Bangkok, we can feel the Sea Games atmosphere as we were given flowers and then escorted to Korat by police! The journey was good, not as bad as we thought.

We were excited to see our rooms and though it was just 3 beds with locker cupboard and a study desk.. but it was so cool because this place is built just for us! Also all the Singapore contingent stays close to each other so it was good to see our people gearing up for the big event.

Everywhere we had access to fridge filled with Coke, water and Milo. Oh, the canteen had free flow of ice cream too! The dining place is big and all athletes are at the same place so we get to see some sports superstars!

We have good medical support and have ice bath after training. Every morning we have to send our urine samples for testing. I failed twice....not drugs lah... its dehydration! Jo's pee is as clear as water!

The security is very strict here and we have our bags scanned each time we are out of our stay area. All trainings are escorted by police and to high security venue. WAHHHH.

We have morning runs and afternoon trainings. Free time we play shithead or get a rub down.
The weather here is VERY hot. At night it is cold though.

The opening ceremony is very fun. Ok..not the wait... we waited 2 hours (standing) wearing our jackets and tight pants. When we get to the march past, wah..i almost cried when I saw the some Singapore Ministers waving in the crowd.
Oh for those who saw the opening ceremony... WE WERE ON TV!!!!

Tomorrow, is the start of our tournament. We will be playing Laos and Thailand at about 1pm.
We are excited and very ready.

Jojo, Has and I are very well. Thank you for all the well wishes.

We'll do our best and hope to bring back good news.

Meanwhile, take care and MISS us!
