Conjunctivitis!

Really sorry ladies, but i cant help it..i have to miss tmr's game.

My eye is at a very contagious stage, apparantly this has been going around in schools. My hubby got it and within a day i got it(mine is worst than his)...no..i didnt kiss his eyes...
its passable through saliva. NOOOOOO... not that we kiss (why wld i want to kiss some red puffy eye man) but by talking.

It is VERY painful. Eye look and felt like it has been hit many times. Eye pressure felt so bad that i cant lie side way or look down. cant sneeze cos i swear my eye will pop out.
Poor me...my hubby too..when i went to the doc today..the patients there stare at him cos i look like i had been abused. And my hubby DO look like a wife beater.

Well... good luck to you girls tmr... cant be there to support. Tell Taniwhas to play well too!

**This was an email sent from Kristy.. I'm helping her post cause she doesn't know how to blog her red eyes are impeding her navigation of blogger.

Nincompoopness

Ro.. I really think the older girls are severely incapacitated by our nincompoopness with the world of blogging! Hahaha! Not our generation lah!! :p

Really looking forward to our video session-cum-makan next week man. Think its really good for all Wantok players to watch ourselves and our teammates play, cos its such a powerful tool to improve and realise what you have been doing "right" or "wrong". And at the same time see how graceful we look when running and scoring and... dumping .... IMAGE!!! Wahahahhaahah!

Just a shout out to those who have picked up injuries: Please take care of yourselves, and realise that we do have limitations. Can push yrself but not too much till its detrimental to yr health? Brokeback Sistas, if reading this, please learn hw to tape up yr backs from Elder The Krusty ok.. need to share skills we know with one another :)

Till then, stay healthy and happy !!

Ups and downs

Dearest Toas,

Good job on the excellent game yesterday! Despite mistakes here and there (Like Anne mentioned, we make mistakes, but we make up for it as well), especially the first try which demoralized me quite a bit, AND the lack of numbers, we managed really well on the whole. And for once, we were really composed! (Even Sari mentioned we looked really collected!) Stuck to Mo's initial target of holding possession and keeping to our 6 touches, which I thought was very commendable!

And guess what, for once, we didn't look like someone died after we came off the field. HAHA. I think everyone's really starting to loosen up and we're starting to celebrate our victories?? =) Whatever the case, I thought it was a very decent win and we should be happy! At least, I am!

Dearest Taniwhas,

I don't know what went wrong yesterday, but don't let it affect you! You have always and always will be the better team! So make sure you guys train really really hard and show them what you're made of in the finals! In the meantime, kick everybody else's ass to secure your place in the finals yeah! =)

See you guys on Tuesday!!!

Kristy's 30th

I can't believe the 6packs had a tribute to our Krusty's 30th and we have not! So since I'm in merry-making jolly-molly hols now, what the hell right?

It was a GREAT fun night! T'was nice to see our fellow Wantoks dress up in their slutty/vampish/mascara-ed or massacred/cheena outfit/perms/underwired bras/underwired hair(ASK KRISTY!!)/et al...! It was a treat seeing Wantoks out to par-day y'all!! Gotta capture all these Kodak moments man! We also had girls (and boys) from other clubs in the touch and rugby community paying their respect to a veteran in the scene (otherwise their heads will be bitten off! We're serious!)

Alternating between Mambo and Phuture, we managed to recapture part of our (lost) youth with the wild wicked gestures at Mambo meant especially for the deaf and dumb, and the very young. Its still a sight ain't it.. Lost some people as the night wore on with weak excuses of work the next day upon interrogation from the birthday girl.
Who's next...

NTL 2007 Round 3

I thought we were very blessed to play under the sun & not some dreadful sloshy rain. And i thought Lion Red fought the Bedok Masters bravely & it's truely great to have the whole pack of Lionesses supporting us at the sidelines. They are a good reminder how we have forgotten 1 of our objectives in this NTL-to enjoy our game & celebrate every touchdown..Their cheers every time we scored still ring in my ears & it keeps you going despite your legs burning, your lungs burning, your skin burning & my tights ripping (ok,the last 1 is irrelevant. Yes yes,ok i know.It is not always about me..).

I just watched our game on my computer & the final score was 7-4 to Toas. However, the scoresheet says 6-5 to Toas. That's when you know the heat is really getting to certain people huh. Especially a particular person who was also involved in refereeing our Wanderers mens vs 6 pack last week. Ironically, the same score 7-4 became 6-5.
Maybe someone should inform him that when the teams swap sides at 2nd half, it does not mean that you swap the columns on the scoresheet? Or maybe its all that running forwards & backwards, must have been disorientating? Oh dear, i better stop. i am beginning to sound like a disgruntled old grouch. But seriously, buddy, if you tell me that's the way they do it in Australia (like how you always claim when i challenge your calls), then you must think we play Touch in our small little box & have never been refereed by the best Touch referees in the world. WAKE UP pal.
